I love dressing up distressed denim. There is something about dressing up distressed denim that I just find so appealing. I am currently on the lookout for a great pair of distressed blue jean skinnies - something like these.

I am fully aware that these pictures blow. I am so bad at taking my own pictures. I need my boyfriend/photographer back! He is coming home tomorrow! I cannot wait until he is done this job and working back in town full-time. Two weeks away at a time can feel like forever. #firstworldproblems I know.

Today is a holiday in Canada, Victoria Day long weekend but I am working, by choice. I opted to work today so I can take tomorrow off and pick up the boyfriend from the airport.

Enjoy your holiday Monday Canadians! Try not think about me sitting here at my desk working while you are out enjoying our only day of sunshine foretasted for this week.

A Friday #OOTD Special

As you can see, I've been regularly taking pictures of my outfits. I find that it helps me to see what I wear a lot of and what I don't wear enough of.  More importantly, it also helps on those mornings where I just can't decide what to wear or on those days where I hate all my clothes (this happens all too often, with the amount of clothes I have it should never happen). So when I get to that point where I am beyond frustrated that nothing is working, I take a deep breath, go sit on my bed, scroll through the pictures of my outfits, choose one, throw it on and fly out the door. It has worked really well for me so far, I have done it twice now.

I also wanted to highlight the fact that the only new things in any of these outfits are the Old Navy striped skirt ($15.00 online) and the H&M pumps ($29.95 in store). Everything else is at minimum a year old or more. I have not been shopping lately because................. we are going on vacation soon! I am so excited for our annual summer road-trip which I will tell you all about next week!

Neon + Frisbee

Old Navy Vintage Tee, Gap Jeans, Roxy Loafers, Aldo Sunnies

I originally bought two of these vintage tees in grey (I wore the grey one here) and pink. I loved them so much that I went back to get another one in an army green color I had seen but they were all out of my size. So I opted for this neon orange that was a little out of my comfort zone. Keyword being WAS cause now I am in love with it! I've really taken to this tee, its so bright and happy. It's been my "go-to" tee lately. I throw it on with some jeans and am ready for anything - a mani-pedi date, a dog walk, grocery shopping...

As for the Frisbee, we got it at PetSmart for $1 and its been Gnarly's most favorite toy ever. It is so hilarious watching him try to walk around with it. He hits in on stumps, big rocks, he even tried to take it up some stairs. He is too low to the ground for a Frisbee to be his favorite toy.

Knit & Stripes

Happy Monday! It is one day closer to the long weekend! Just keep reminding yourself that next Monday you will still be in bed right now catching up on your zzz's or out taking full advantage of an extra day off!

As promised here are some more stripes. I had a hard time pairing something with these blue stripes. I tried a grey tee and a bright pink blouse but nothing seemed to work except for white. White just seems so safe and obvious. I've always a hard time with navy blue. I will find another color to wear with this skirt! I have challenged myself to go out of my comfort zone and find a colored top that works with these blue stripes!
